To day CM Mamata Banerjee posted on her Facebook wall
Today, in the beautiful district stadium of Jhargram, I inaugurated the four-day-long celebration of the upcoming *World Adivasi Day*. I extend my heartfelt greetings, congratulations, and love to all my Adivasi brothers and sisters, and to all the people of Bengal.
On the stage, I paid floral tribute and offered my respects to portraits of great personalities β Poet Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, Constitution maker Babasaheb Ambedkar, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Rebel Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, as well as Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Pandit Raghunath Murmu.
The *Maa-Mati-Manush* (Mother-Land-People) government of Bengal is always alert and committed to development. Today, we reached government services from several welfare schemes to nearly 3 lakh people of the district β including free social security schemes, *Krishak Bandhu* death assistance, *Chokher Alo* (eye care) project, *Yogyashree*, cash credit loans (*Anandadhara*), term loans for minorities and competitive exam aspirants, *Sabuj Sathi* bicycles, *Kanyashree*, *Shikshashree*, land pattas (title deeds), provision of *Dhamsha-Madol* tribal instruments, and more.
Along with this, 321 projects β worth a total of nearly βΉ550 crore β were inaugurated and their foundation stones laid.
I have always stood by the people of Bengal, I stand with them now, and I will continue to stand with them in the future. Anti-nationals and communal elements are trying to destroy Bengalβs historical and cultural heritage. I urge the people of Bengal again and again to refrain from believing in false propaganda and provocation. Bengal is bound by the bonds of peace and harmony. The progress, development, and upliftment of Bengal is our only goal.
During floods, all other states receive central relief, but Bengal is repeatedly deprived. Even though Bengal has been denied support by the Central Government, our state government remains committed to serving the common people. We have delivered services under *Pathashree*, rural roads, *Jal Swapna* (drinking water), construction of health centres, *Chokher Alo* camps, *Banglar Bari*, *Karmashree*, and *Bangla Sahayata Kendra* schemes to every household across Bengal. In the coming days, Bengal will move forward with more developmental works.
Our mother tongue is a matter of honour and pride. The Bengali language spoken by Rabindranath, Nazrul, Swamiji (Vivekananda), Netaji, and Vidyasagar β the BJP now says βno such language exists.β In BJP-ruled states, Bengali-speaking people, along with Dalits, Matuas, and Rajbanshis, are facing atrocities. If someone speaks in Bengali, even a legal citizen of India is branded as Bangladeshi or Rohingya. Our struggle against this conspiracy will continue. We must protect our rights, our language, and our culture.
In the coming days, our movement against the undemocratic and anti-people central government will intensify. This Bengal stands for religious harmony, for peace, unity, and fraternity.
In the days ahead, the people of Bengal will give a fitting democratic response to the humiliation, deprivation, oppression, and voter suppression perpetrated by the Central Government against Bengal.
Jai Hind! Joy Bangla!
